A qualified university degree in a Bachelor's or Diploma program with a standard period of study of at least seven semesters (six semesters possible with the completion of additional modules) and a subsequent qualified professional practical experience of usually not less than one year. Admission is granted through an admission procedure.

The Master's programme in Geographical Information Systems at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences is designed for users and potential users of geographical information systems in municipal administration, planning, environmental and nature conservation, supply industries, marketing, and other sectors. The programme comprises a total of 90 ECTS credits, spread over five semesters. The first presence phase serves as an introduction and is part of the program, which is mainly designed for self-study.
