The Master's in IT Management at Wilhelm Büchner University is aimed at IT specialists, computer scientists, engineers, natural scientists, and economists seeking interdisciplinary technical and leadership skills to develop and implement effective IT strategies closely aligned with a company's economic goals and processes.
The following requirements must be met for admission:
- Academic qualification: A minimum of 6 semesters of academic education in the fields of computer science, engineering or natural sciences, as well as economics, is required. Students who have completed the Digital Leadership certificate with a good grade can also be admitted, irrespective of the grade of the first degree. The examination board makes the decision on admission.
- English proficiency: Required as selected modules are taught in English.
- Recognition of prior learning: Examination achievements completed in a 7-semester bachelor's degree programme can be credited up to a maximum of 30 credit points, provided they are of equivalent value. Prior learning can include academic or non-academic content and enable a reduction in the duration of the study and a reduction in tuition fees. The decision on recognition of prior learning is also made by the examination board.
Individuals with an existing diploma or master's degree have the opportunity to directly enter the M.Sc. in IT Management. Furthermore, extensive professional experience may be recognised as prior learning after individual assessment.

Your Master's programme in IT Management at WBH is structured in modules. You will study thematically complete subject areas (modules) to which credit points are assigned according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The number of credit points assigned to each module depends on the scope of the module and the associated workload. All credit points you earn will be credited to you, and you will receive a certificate. Your achievements are thus comparable and recognised - also internationally.

- 3rd Semester: Specialization Module 1, Specialization Module 2, Business Research Methods, Specialization Deepening, Project Work
- 4th Semester: Master's Thesis including Colloquium
