For the B.Sc. in Digital Media at Wilhelm Bücher University, there are various access options:
Access Option No. 1: You have the general university entrance qualification (Abitur), the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or the subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification.
Access Option No. 2: You have a university admission qualification recognized as equivalent by the Hessian Ministry of Culture (e.g. a master's degree or a qualification as a state-certified technician).
Access Option No. 3: Studying as an auditor: You start your guest studies at our university without the three access options mentioned and after 2 performance semesters, you take the university entrance examination (HZP). For this, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- You have completed at least a two-year vocational training regulated by the Vocational Training Act, the Crafts Code, or federal or state law in a field related to the desired course of study.
- You have subsequently worked in a field related to the desired course of study for at least two years on a full-time basis.
If you aim for a course of study that is not related to the completed training or professional activity, then the knowledge acquired through training and professional activity must be expanded or deepened through qualified further training with a duration of at least 400 hours in a field related to the desired course of study.
After successfully passing the university entrance examination (HZP), we will change your status from auditor to regular student.

- 3rd Semester: Fundamentals of Software Engineering, Multimedia Applications, Media Technology Basics, Project Management and Scientific Work
- 4th Semester: Databases, Computer Graphics, Design of Interactive Systems, Intercultural Communication and Leadership (including Elective Area II)
- 5th Semester: Distributed Information Processing, Design Practice - Film and Sound (Part 1), Design Practice - Online and Print Media, Elective Area I Elective Module I, Project Work
- 6th Semester: Design Practice - Film and Sound (Part 2), Design Practice - Photography and Image, Elective Area I Elective Module II, Bachelor's Thesis and Colloquium
You choose Elective Module I from the following topics: Advanced Programming, Application of Artificial Intelligence, Electronic and Mobile Services, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics for Computer Scientists, Authoring Systems, Methods and Techniques of Knowledge Management, Online Marketing, Basics of Business Administration and Legal Foundations.
You choose Elective Module II from the following topics: Business English, Intercultural Competence, Spanish.
