For the B.Sc. in Applied Computer Science at Wilhelm Buecher University, there are various ways to apply:
Option 1: You have a general university entrance qualification (Abitur), a subject-specific university entrance qualification, or a professionally qualified technical college entrance qualification.
Option 2: You have a university admission qualification recognized as equivalent by the Hessian Ministry of Education (e.g., a master's degree or a degree as a state-certified technician).
Option 3: Study as a guest student: You start your guest studies at our university without the mentioned three access options and take the university entrance examination (HZP) after 2 semesters. To do this, you must meet all the following requirements:
- You have completed at least a two-year vocational training or apprenticeship in a field related to the desired course of study according to the Vocational Training Act, the Crafts Code, regulated by federal or state law.
- You have subsequently worked at least two years full-time in a field related to the desired course of study.
If you aim to study in a field that is not related to your completed education or professional experience, the knowledge acquired through education and professional experience must be expanded or deepened through qualified further education with a workload of at least 400 hours in a field related to the desired course of study.
After passing the university entrance examination (HZP), we will change your status from guest student to regular student.

Your Bachelor's degree program at WBH is structured in a modular way. You will study thematically closed subject areas (modules) to which credit points are assigned according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The number of credit points assigned to each module depends on the scope of the module and the associated workload. All credit points you earn will be credited to you, and you will receive proof of this. Your achievements are thus comparable and recognised – also internationally.

- 2nd Semester: Advanced Mathematics, Theoretical Basics of Computer Science (Part 2), Software Engineering, Law and Business Administration (Part 1)
- 3rd Semester: Information Technology, Advanced Programming, Project Management and Scientific Work, Elective Module 2
- 4th Semester: Multimedia, Databases, IT Management and Law, Specialisation Studies (Part 1)
- 5th Semester: Information Systems and BI, Distributed Information Processing (Part 1), Specialisation Studies (Part 2)
- 6th Semester: Elective Module I, Distributed Information Processing (Part 2), Communication and Leadership, Specialisation Studies (Part 3), Project Work
