These admission requirements apply to the Master's programme in Real Estate Management

The Master's programme in Real Estate Management is offered by IU in 2 study models. The 120-ECTS variant takes 4 semesters in full-time study. The shortened 60-ECTS variant takes 2 semesters in full-time study.

A degree from a state-recognized or public university is required, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree. The final grade of your degree should be at least "Satisfactory."

If you want to enroll in the shortened 60-ECTS variant, the following additional requirements are necessary:

  • If your first degree is 240 ECTS and you can demonstrate at least 1 year of professional experience, you can enroll directly in the Master's programme.
  • If your first degree is 210 ECTS and you can demonstrate at least 1 year of professional experience, you can enroll directly in the Master's programme in Real Estate Management. Alternatively, you can take at least 30 ECTS worth of modules at IU.
  • If your first degree is 180 ECTS, you need to take courses worth at least 30 ECTS and demonstrate at least 1 year of professional experience. Alternatively, you need to demonstrate at least 2 years of professional experience.

For the 120-ECTS variant, IU requires the following:

  • Your first degree should have a focus on Economics or Business Administration.
  • If your first degree does not have the appropriate focus, you need to pass a Master's entrance examination. If successful, you will be enrolled in the Master's in Real Estate Management.

You can tailor the online study programme in Real Estate Management at IU International University flexibly to fit your life and daily routine as best suits you. For example, you can choose from 3 study models: In the full-time programme, it takes a total of 2 semesters or 4 semesters, depending on the study variant, to complete the master's. In part-time programme I, you study for 3 or 6 semesters until completion. Or you can opt for part-time programme II and take 4 or 8 semesters to complete your master's.

You will receive study materials in printed study booklets from IU with each module enrolment. All materials are also available digitally. The IU Interactive Books are innovative study scripts enriched with video clips and quiz questions at the end of a lesson. Depending on the module, study materials are complemented by podcasts, live tutorials, and video content in the form of shortcasts. You can access the IU Interactive Books through the practical IU Learn App.

In many modules, virtual courses are also offered, allowing you to interact interactively with your fellow students and lecturers.

Highly convenient and flexible: The option to take module exams in the form of online exams. You can take an online exam 7 days a week, around the clock - whenever you feel best prepared for the exam, for example, in construction design. Additionally, we operate around 40 exam centres in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, where you can also take your exams in the traditional way onsite.
