These are the admission requirements for the Master's programme in International Management
We offer the Master's in International Management in 2 variants: the condensed 60-ECTS variant takes 2 semesters in full-time study. The 120 ECTS variant takes 4 semesters in full-time study.
For the 120-ECTS variant in 4 semesters, the following requirements apply:
- You have a first academic degree with a focus on economics or business administration and a final grade of at least "satisfactory".
- If your degree has a different focus, you can be admitted through a Master's entrance examination.
For the condensed 60-ECTS variant, the following requirements apply:
- You have a first academic degree with a focus on economics or business administration and a final grade of at least "satisfactory".
- If your first degree consists of 180 ECTS, you take an additional 30 ECTS worth of courses and demonstrate at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Alternatively, you demonstrate at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- If your degree consists of 210 ECTS, you take an additional 30 ECTS worth of courses. Alternatively, you demonstrate at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- If your degree consists of 240 ECTS, which is the case for many diploma degrees, you do not need to demonstrate work experience.
If you choose the English-language variant, you must also provide evidence of your English language skills. You can demonstrate your English skills, for example, through a TOEFL (at least 80 points), IELTS (at least Level 6), a passed Duolingo English test (at least 105 points), a Cambridge Certificate (at least grade B overall), or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, you can take an English course free of charge directly at IU International University.

- 2nd Semester: Leadership, International Marketing, Negotiation Techniques, International Financial Management, International Accounting, Seminar: International HR Management

Study Concept: How the Part-time Study Programme in International Management at IU University Works
The online study programme in International Management at IU International University adapts flexibly to your life and daily routine, fitting in with you as best as possible. For example, you can choose from 3 study models: In the full-time study, it takes a total of 2 semesters or 4 semesters, depending on the programme. In part-time study I, you study for 3 or 6 semesters until completion. Or you can opt for part-time study II and take 4 or 8 semesters until completion.
With each module registration, you will receive study materials in printed study booklets from IU. All materials are also available digitally. The IU Interactive Books are innovative study scripts enriched with video clips and quiz questions at the end of a lesson. In addition to modules, study materials are supplemented with podcasts, live tutorials, and video content in the form of Shortcasts. You can access the IU Interactive Books via the practical IU Learn app.
In many modules, virtual lectures are also offered, enabling interactive exchanges with your classmates and lecturers.
A particularly convenient and flexible feature is the option to take module exams in the form of online exams. You can take an online exam 24/7, 7 days a week when you feel best prepared for the exam, such as in building construction. Furthermore, we operate around 40 exam centres in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, where you can also take your exams in a classic on-site manner.
