Admission requirements
Necessary:
Admission requirement is a completed university degree with at least 180 ECTS in the study areas
- Mechanical engineering,
- Mechatronics,
- Production technology and process engineering,
- Materials science and engineering,
- Industrial engineering with a focus on engineering,
- Engineering computer science/Technical computer science,
- Digital Engineering,
- Electrical energy technology,
- Steel construction,
- Foundry engineering,
- Materials science and engineering,
- Automotive, aviation and aerospace engineering
- or an equivalent qualification.
For the course version with 90 ECTS, a university degree is required
- with at least 210 ECTS
- or less than 210 ECTS and at least one year of relevant qualified professional experience, in which case students will obtain a master's degree with less than 300 ECTS.
For prospective students from abroad, we require proof of German language proficiency. There are several ways to provide proof, such as
- DSH-2 (German Language Examination for University Entrance),
- C1 according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages),
- TestDaF level 4 (Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache)
- a school leaving qualification equivalent to a German university entrance qualification.
Recommended Knowledge:
- Solid knowledge of academic work,
- English skills at level "CEFR-C1" (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages),
- Basic mechanical engineering competencies, such as methodical design, CAD, machine elements, manufacturing technology as well as power and working machines,
- For the course version with 90 ECTS: Content of the 1st semester of the course version with 120 ECTS.
Within the framework of the propaedeutics, missing prerequisites can be acquired alongside the studies.
