Admission requirements
You need the general qualification for university entrance (A-levels), a technical college entrance qualification, or an equivalent recognized qualification (e.g. a completed training with three years of professional experience or a completed advanced training).
In addition, you should currently be employed or be in a company training, a trainee program, or a voluntary program. If you are currently not employed but are seeking a position, you can contact FOM's student advisory service to discuss individual admission possibilities.

The Bachelor's programme "UX Design & Digital Solutions" at FOM University offers a combination of technical expertise and creative design. The programme is aimed at working professionals interested in User Experience Design who wish to acquire basic and advanced knowledge in computer science, design, and psychology.
The Digital Live Study programme enables flexible, location-independent learning with the option to attend live lectures or access them later in the media library. Practical projects and case studies in cooperation with companies provide real-world applications of theoretical contents. Additionally, additional skills can be acquired through international experience or FOM specialisations.
The programme comprises 180 ECTS points and spans seven semesters. During this time, you will acquire skills in interdisciplinary areas such as user research, interaction design, and prototyping. Special emphasis is placed on developing accessible digital products.
1st Semester: Mathematical fundamentals, programming concepts, UX design basics, media design, time and self-management
2nd Semester: Quantitative methods, databases, web technologies, design engineering & tools, scientific work
3rd Semester: Algorithms and data structures, concepts of dynamic programming languages, interaction design, project: frontend design, project management
4th Semester: Software engineering, IT infrastructure, introduction to spatial computing, digital transformation
5th Semester: Big data & data science, operating systems, user research and psychology, sustainability management
6th Semester: Technology trends, information security, business & management in UX design
7th Semester: Thesis and colloquium
Upon successful completion, you will receive a nationally and internationally recognised Bachelor of Science degree. Graduates are qualified to develop inclusive and accessible digital products and can access a variety of career opportunities in areas such as IT architecture, cloud computing, media design, and software development.
