These are the admission requirements for the Master's programme in Computer Science
We can admit you to the Master's programme in Computer Science if you have completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in a computer science-focused field with 180 ECTS, such as the Bachelor's distance learning programme in Computer Science at IU.
The final grade of your first degree should be at least "satisfactory."
Foreign applicants must also demonstrate their German language skills, for example, through TestDaF, DSH, Telc, or ÖSD.
In addition, you must demonstrate English language skills. You can prove your English language skills, for example, through a TOEFL (minimum 80 points), an IELTS (minimum level 6), a Duolingo English test (minimum 105 points), a Cambridge certificate (at least grade B overall), or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, you can take an English course free of charge directly at IU International University.

You choose your second specialisation module from these topics: Data Engineer, Business Analyst, Technical Project Lead, Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Use Case Identification and Evaluation for Analytical Applications, Internship.
Study Concept: How the part-time Computer Science study works at IU
You can adapt the online Computer Science study at IU International University flexibly to fit your life and daily routine as best suits you. For example, you can choose from one of 3 study models: In the full-time study, it takes a total of 4 semesters, that is, 24 months, to complete the Master's degree. In part-time study I, you study for 6 semesters until completion. Or you opt for part-time study II and give yourself 8 semesters to complete the Master's.
With each module registration at IU, you receive study materials as printed study booklets. Naturally, all materials are also available digitally. The IU Interactive Books are innovative learning scripts enriched with video clips and quiz questions at the end of a lesson. In addition, the study materials for each module are supplemented by podcasts, live tutorials, and video content in the form of so-called Shortcasts. You access the IU Interactive Books via the practical IU Learn app.
In many modules, virtual lectures are also offered, allowing you to interactively engage with your fellow students and lecturers.
Especially convenient and flexible is the option to take module exams in the form of online exams. You can take an online exam 7 days a week, around the clock - when you feel optimally prepared for the exam in, for example, building construction. Additionally, we operate around 40 exam centres in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland where you can also take your exams in the traditional way on-site.
