Here are the admission requirements for the Master's program in Computer Science

The master's program in Computer Science lasts 4 semesters in full-time study. You must have completed a first degree with a focus on Computer Science or a related field.

The final grade of your first degree should be at least "satisfactory."

Foreign applicants must also demonstrate their proficiency in German, for example, through TestDaF, DSH, Telc, or ÖSD.

In addition, you can have previous academic achievements and even work experience extensively recognized to shorten the duration of this master's program and save on tuition fees. For example, if you have been working full-time in a leading position in the field of Computer Science for 5 years, we may recognize up to 5 ECTS for this activity.

Study Concept: How the Part-Time Computer Science Programme at IU Works

The online computer science programme at IU International University can be adjusted flexibly to fit your life and daily routine as best suits you. For example, you can choose one of 3 study models: In the full-time programme, you need a total of 4 semesters, or 24 months, to complete the master's degree. In part-time study I, you will study for 6 semesters until completion. Or you can opt for part-time study II and take 8 semesters to complete the master's.

With each module registration, you will receive study materials from IU in printed study booklets. All materials are also available digitally. The IU Interactive Books are innovative study scripts enriched with video clips and quiz questions at the end of a lesson. Depending on the module, study materials are supplemented by podcasts, live tutorials, and video content in the form of so-called Shortcasts. You access the IU Interactive Books through the convenient IU Learn App.

In many modules, virtual classes are also offered, allowing you to interact interactively with your classmates and instructors.

Very convenient and flexible: The option to take module exams in the form of online exams. You can take an online exam 24/7 - whenever you feel best prepared for the exam in, for example, construction. Additionally, we operate around 40 exam centers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland where you can also take your exams traditionally in person.
