We offer the Master's in Digital Transformation in 2 variants: the shortened 60-ECTS variant lasts 2 semesters in full-time study. The 120 ECTS variant lasts 4 semesters in full-time study.
For the 120 ECTS variant in 4 semesters, the following requirements apply:
- You have a first degree with a final grade of at least "good".
- If your degree has a different focus, you can be admitted through a Master's entrance exam
- In addition, you have at least 1 year of professional experience with a management or consulting focus acquired after your initial degree. You can also gain professional experience during your studies.
For the shortened 60 ECTS variant, the following requirements apply:
- You have a first degree with a final grade of at least "good".
- If your first degree is 180 ECTS, you take courses totaling 30 ECTS and demonstrate at least 1 year of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, you demonstrate at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- If your degree is 210 ECTS, you demonstrate at least 1 year of qualified professional experience. You have gained professional experience after completing your studies.
- If your degree is 240 ECTS, which is the case for many diploma degrees, you additionally demonstrate 1 year of qualified professional experience alongside the degree.

Study Concept: How the Part-Time Study Digital Transformation at IU Works
You can adapt the online study of Digital Transformation at IU International University flexibly to your life and daily routine, whichever suits you best. For example, you can choose one of 3 study models: In the full-time study, you will need 2 semesters or 4 semesters until you complete your master's degree, depending on the study variant. In part-time study I, you study for 3 or 6 semesters until you graduate. Or you opt for part-time study II and take 4 or 8 semesters to complete your master's.
You will receive study materials at IU for each module enrollment as printed study booklets. All materials are also available digitally. The IU Interactive Books are innovative learning scripts enriched with video clips and quiz questions at the end of each lesson. Depending on the module, the study materials are supplemented by podcasts, live tutorials, and video content in the form of so-called Shortcasts. You can access the IU Interactive Books via the convenient IU Learn App.
In many modules, virtual lectures are also offered, allowing you to interact interactively with your classmates and instructors.
Very practical and flexible: The option to take module exams in the form of online exams. You can take an online exam 24/7, 7 days a week - whenever you feel best prepared, for example, for an exam in construction. Additionally, we operate about 40 exam centers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, where you can also take your exams in a traditional on-site setting.
