These are the admission requirements for the Master's programme in Digital Entrepreneurship
We offer the Master's in Digital Entrepreneurship in a shortened 60 ECTS variant, lasting 2 semesters in full-time study. A first degree with a grade of at least "satisfactory" is required.
Depending on the scope of your degree, you may need to demonstrate additional work experience:
- If your first degree comprises 180 ECTS, you must take courses worth 30 ECTS and demonstrate at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Alternatively, you can demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- If your degree comprises 210 ECTS, you need to show at least 1 year of qualified work experience gained after completing your studies.
- If your degree comprises 240 ECTS, as is the case with many diploma degrees, you need to show at least 1 year of qualified work experience gained after completing your studies.
Foreign applicants must also prove their German language skills, for example, through TestDaF, DSH, Telc, or ÖSD.
Additionally, you can be admitted with a first bachelor's degree, provided you have an Abitur or Fachabitur or alternatively a completed vocational training. You must also demonstrate at least 10 years of work experience related to the desired course of study, including a minimum of 6 years of leadership or expert responsibility. Furthermore, you must complete a preparatory module.

The master's program at IU International University is modular. A module typically consists of 5 credit points (ECTS) and concludes with an examination, such as an exam or a written paper. This way, you complete your master's degree step by step - and even largely determine when you want to complete each module.

Study Concept: How the Part-Time Study Works in Digital Entrepreneurship at IU
You can adapt the online program in Digital Entrepreneurship at IU International University flexibly to fit your life and daily routine best. For example, you can choose one of 3 study models: In the full-time program, you need a total of 2 semesters to complete the master's degree, which is 12 months. In part-time study I, you study for 3 semesters until graduation. Or you opt for part-time study II and take 4 semesters to complete the master's.
With each module registration, you receive study materials as printed study booklets at IU. All materials are also available digitally. The IU Interactive Books are innovative learning scripts enriched with video clips and end-of-lesson quiz questions. Depending on the module, study materials are supplemented with podcasts, live tutorials, and video content in the form of so-called Shortcasts. You access the IU Interactive Books through the convenient IU Learn App.
Many modules also offer virtual lectures, allowing you to interact interactively with your classmates and lecturers.
Particularly convenient and flexible is the option to take module exams in the form of online exams. You can take an online exam 24/7, 7 days a week, when you feel best prepared for the exam, for example in construction design. Additionally, we have about 40 exam centres in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland where you can also take your exams in the traditional way.
