These are the requirements for the Bachelor's in Technical Computer Science
For the B.Sc. Technical Computer Science at the Wilhelm Bücher University, there are various admission options:
Admission Option No. 1: You have the general university entrance qualification (Abitur), the university of applied sciences entrance qualification, or the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.
Admission Option No. 2: You have a university admission qualification recognized as equivalent by the Hessian Ministry of Culture (e.g. a master's degree or a degree as a state-certified technician).
Admission Option No. 3: Studying as a guest auditor: You start your guest studies at our university without meeting the aforementioned three access requirements and take the university entrance exam (HZP) after 2 semesters. To do this, you must meet all the following requirements:
- You have completed a vocational training of at least two years regulated by the Vocational Training Act, the Crafts Code, or federal or state law in a field related to the desired course of studies.
- You have subsequently worked for at least two years full-time in a field related to the desired course of studies.
If you aim to study a subject that is not related to the completed training or professional activity, then the knowledge acquired through training and professional experience must be expanded or deepened through qualified further education in a field related to the desired course of studies with a scope of at least 400 hours.
After successfully passing the university entrance exam (HZP), we will change your status from guest auditor to regular student.

All credit points you earn will be credited to you and you will receive a certificate about it. Your achievements are thus comparable and recognized internationally.
The course of studies is structured as follows:
- 1st Semester: Mathematical Foundations for Computer Scientists, Basics of Computer Science, Basics of Object-Oriented Programming, Operating Systems and Computer Architecture, Introductory Project for Computer Scientists
- 2nd Semester: Advanced Mathematics with Laboratory Simulation, Physics, Basics of Software Engineering, Law and Business Administration
- 3rd Semester: Advanced Programming, Basics of Electrical Engineering, Measurement and Control Engineering, Project Management and Scientific Work
- 4th Semester: Information Technology, Digital and Microcomputer Technology, Elective Module II Intercultural Communication, Specialized Studies (Part 1)
- 5th Semester: Database Systems, Electronic Circuit Technology, Specialized Studies (Part 2)
- 6th Semester: Distributed Information Processing, Embedded and Cyber Physical Systems, Communication and Leadership, Specialized Studies (Part 3), Project Work
- 7th Semester: Elective Module I Technology, Specialized Studies (Part 4), Bachelor's Thesis and Colloquium
