The Bachelor's degree programme in Social Work at the SRH Fernhochschule - The Mobile University is designed to provide students with comprehensive subject and methodological knowledge as well as practical skills in all areas of social professions. The programme is aimed at individuals who wish to work in social work and also qualifies them for state recognition as social workers.
The study content includes interdisciplinary components from the fields of psychology, sociology, education, medicine, and law. Practical methods such as case work, group work, conversation management, crisis intervention, and conflict counseling are learned in intensive block seminars. The 800-hour practical study phase enables students to directly apply theoretical knowledge and put it into practice.
Distance learning enables flexible programme models that are tailored to the individual situations of the students. Various financing models are available to meet the financial burdens.
Graduates have numerous professional prospects in the social sector, such as in child and youth welfare, school social work, adult education, family support, or social work with elderly and ill people.
