The Master's distance learning programme in Design Management (M.A.) prepares designers, managers, and those who want to professionally shape their field of work optimally for the interface between design and management. This course is suitable for you if you have completed a Bachelor of Arts and wish to qualify in the management of design processes.

For some modules in the Design Management programme, access to Adobe Collection, Adobe XD, or similar editing software is required. If you do not have access to use Adobe Collection or Adobe XD, we recommend either a student subscription or alternatively the use of public domain software such as gimp, Pixlr X, Photopea Online, Figma, or Hotjar, etc.

The Master's programme in Design Management combines design, management, and research methods with creative and professional design and management practice. You will gain a fundamental insight into the mindset and problem-solving abilities of design at the interface with management. This includes contemporary models and theories and the skills to apply them appropriately to the requirements of the environment. You will develop both management and design knowledge.

To prepare for leadership positions in the creative field, you will acquire knowledge of various design disciplines and develop solid management and communication skills. Based on scientific methods, you will be able to shape a constantly evolving global environment. With your acquired specialized and interdisciplinary knowledge and skills, you will be able to successfully and responsibly manage increasingly complex design requirements in different organizations.
