The part-time Master's degree programme Management (M.Sc.) is aimed at professionals with a background in business administration who wish to expand their management skills and specifically prepare for leadership roles and demanding management positions in companies or organisations. The distance learning programme particularly addresses graduates of business-related Bachelor's degree programmes such as Business Administration, Economics, Business Law, Business Informatics or comparable fields. It is suitable for individuals who want to pursue an advanced academic qualification flexibly alongside their job or other commitments and want to focus on special areas such as Business Administration, Digital Business or Economic Psychology.
Admission requirements at a glance
- University degree: Completed university studies (e.g. Bachelor) with at least 180 ECTS at a state or state-recognised university in the subject of Business Administration or a comparable degree.
- Alternatively: A six-semester Bachelor’s degree in a field with business administration content comprising at least 36 ECTS credits, for example Economics, Business Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Business Law or comparable degree programmes.
- Language skills: The programme is offered in German; individual modules, such as “Strategic Management”, can also be taken in English.
- Further requirements: There is no admission restriction in the form of a numerus clausus (NC). Applications are possible on a monthly basis.
Students with a business administration Bachelor's degree with over 180 ECTS can have relevant prior achievements recognised, which may lead to a shortened study duration as well as reduced tuition fees. Further information on the recognition of prior achievements is provided by the university upon request.

The Master’s degree programme in Management (M.Sc.) at SRH Fernhochschule is aimed at graduates of business administration bachelor’s programmes who wish to expand their management skills and specifically qualify for leadership roles. The programme provides a broad management education combined with individually selectable expert knowledge in various business administration specialisations.
What content can I expect in the programme?
The curriculum includes compulsory and elective modules. The compulsory modules cover central topics of modern management and empirical research, including:

- Organisation theories and organisational design

How is the structure of the distance learning programme organised?
The programme is designed as a flexible distance learning course with a standard period of study of four semesters (120 ECTS). It is possible to start studying every month. The structure at a glance:
- 1st semester: Five compulsory modules (Empirical Social Research, Organisational Design, Strategic Management, Project and Change Management, Leadership)
- 2nd semester: Qualitative Data Analysis and four elective modules (Business Administration)
- 3rd semester: Quantitative Data Analysis and four further elective modules (freely selectable from all specialisation areas)
- 4th semester: Master’s thesis (30 ECTS)
The learning materials are provided in digital form and consist of study letters, podcasts, e-learning units, as well as online events.
- Students can organise their studies individually and proceed at their own pace; an extension beyond the standard period of study is possible free of charge (up to twice the standard period of study).
- The university is state accredited and the programme is approved by the ZFU (Central Office for Distance Learning, no. 1105019c).

Both models offer the same services, including flexible study duration and unlimited access to learning materials. The study period can be extended without additional fees up to twice the standard period of study.
