These are the admission requirements for the Bachelor New Work

You can enroll in the Bachelor distance learning course New Work at IU International University (IU) if you provide us with your A levels (general university entrance qualification), your advanced technical college entrance qualification (Fachabitur), or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.

Alternatively, you can enroll without A levels. Studying without A levels at IU is possible under the following conditions:

  • You have successfully completed an advanced vocational training, for example, training as a state-certified business economist.
  • Or you have completed a vocational training, for example, training as an office clerk. Following your training, you have worked full-time in this profession for at least 3 years. If your training is not thematically related to the New Work distance learning course, you will first complete a trial study before being regularly enrolled.

Study Concept: How the Part-Time Study in New Work at IU Works

You can adapt the online studies in New Work at IU International University flexibly to fit your life and daily routines as best as it suits you. For instance, you can choose from 3 study models: In the full-time programme, you need a total of 6 semesters, i.e. 36 months, to complete your bachelor's degree. In part-time study I, you study for 8 semesters until graduation. Or you opt for part-time study II and take 12 semesters to complete your bachelor's.

With each module registration, you will receive study materials as printed study booklets at IU. Of course, all materials are also available digitally. The IU Interactive Books are innovative learning scripts enriched with video clips and quiz questions at the end of a lesson. Depending on the module, the study materials are complemented by podcasts, live tutorials, and video content in the form of so-called shortcasts. Access to the IU Interactive Books is through the practical IU Learn app.

In many modules, virtual teaching events are also offered, allowing you to interact interactively with your fellow students and lecturers.

One particularly practical and flexible feature is the option to take module exams in the form of online exams. You can take an online exam 7 days a week, around the clock - at a time when you feel best prepared, for example, for an exam in construction. Additionally, we operate about 40 exam centres in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland where you can also take your exams traditionally on-site.
