The first university degree can be a bachelor's, baccalaureate, diploma, diploma (FH), or an accepted equivalent degree. At least 210 ECTS points must be proven for the first university degree (it may also be possible to apply/enroll with fewer ECTS). Passing the admission exam and submitting a letter of application or motivation are further admission requirements.Details
The Master's programme in Business Administration at the University of Applied Management provides specialized knowledge and skills to analyse, develop, and implement complex business problems. Graduates should be able to handle responsible tasks in strategic corporate management independently and interdisciplinarily. The programme places a strong focus on scientifically founded knowledge in corporate governance to prepare graduates for professional and leadership roles.
The consecutive Master's programme consists of 90 credit points and can be completed on a part-time or full-time basis. It combines distance learning components with on-site events. Each module is self-contained and consists of 2 to 6 sub-modules that build on each other in terms of content. The completion of the programme requires the submission of a Master's thesis.
A completed Bachelor's degree in Business Administration is required to enrol in the programme. Foreign degrees with at least 210 credit points are also accepted. Admittance can also be granted through selection interviews in exceptional cases. The faculty delivers the content through various methods such as face-to-face lectures, self-study with online materials, group work, virtual activities, business simulations, tutorials, and more.
Although the programme is not explicitly internationally oriented, international aspects of business administration are considered. Some lecturers bring international experience, and students have the opportunity to participate in a semester abroad. English-language literature is used in specific modules, and an optional foreign language component is possible. The programme is accredited by FIBAA and awards the title of Master of Arts upon completion.
