- With university entrance qualification: Allgemeine Hochschulreife (Abitur), fachgebundene Hochschulreife or Fachhochschulreife; equivalent higher education entrance qualifications from abroad are accepted.
- Without Abitur: recognised vocational advancement (e.g. Meister/in, Techniker/in, Betriebswirt/in, Fachwirt/in, Erzieher/in) grants direct access.
- With vocational training plus relevant work experience: admission via a university aptitude test for a related field, or via a supervised trial study (Probestudium).
- Recognition of prior learning (RPL): previously earned ECTS from universities and completed professional further training can be credited to reduce time and fees.
Required German proficiency (for non-native speakers)
One of the following is typically accepted for regular enrolment: DSH-2, TestDaF level 4 (in all parts), or German at CEFR C1. Trial study may be possible as an alternative pathway; adequate German remains essential for coursework and exams.
Personal requirements
Remote study demands consistent self-management, reliable internet and a quiet study space. Tuition is payable in monthly instalments and depends on your pace. Regular fees are approximately €219 per month for 72 months, €309 per month for 48 months, or €369 per month for 36 months, plus a one-time €960 examination fee. That means, over the standard 48-month track, you should budget about €14,832 in tuition plus €960 exams (total ~€15,792). On the 36-month track the total is roughly €13,284 in tuition plus €960 exams (~€14,244); on the 72-month track about €15,768 plus €960 (~€16,728).
The price includes digital learning materials and campus access. Built-in grace periods allow free extensions (typically 3–12 months depending on model) before extra months are charged. You pay in euros by monthly instalment; if you pay from outside the euro area, check with your bank for any currency conversion or transfer fees.
What careers and recognition does the Health Education (B.A.) offer?
