The WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is a leading private business school with locations in Vallendar near Koblenz and in Düsseldorf. It was founded in 1984 at the initiative of the Koblenz Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Since 1993, it has been named after its benefactor Otto Beisheim. Today, WHU is one of the most prestigious business schools in Europe.
The study programmes at WHU cover a wide range of programs at various qualification levels. In the bachelor's area, programs such as the Bachelor in International Business Administration/Management and the Bachelor in Business Psychology are offered. In the master's area, there are programs in Management, Finance, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Business Analytics, and a part-time Master in Management to choose from.
In the MBA programs, students can choose from a Full-Time MBA, Part-Time MBA, or the Global Online MBA. In addition, WHU, together with the Kellogg School of Management, offers an Executive MBA program. The offering is complemented by open and tailor-made further education programs for specialists and executives, as well as a structured doctoral program leading to the title "Dr. rer. pol."
A special feature of WHU is its focus on entrepreneurship. Graduates have founded numerous successful start-ups, including many so-called unicorns with billion-dollar valuations.
The faculty consists of six groups: Finance and Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Management, Marketing and Sales, and Supply Chain Management.
The university has a strong international network and partnerships with over 220 universities worldwide. A semester abroad is an integral part of most study programs.
The university offers numerous student initiatives and events, including conference series such as "Campus for…" (e.g. Campus for Finance, Campus for Marketing, Campus for Strategy and Leadership), which promote exchange with practice.
WHU is triple-accredited by AACSB, EQUIS, and FIBAA. It consistently ranks highly in international rankings.
