Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences is a state university based in Lower Saxony. The university was founded in 1971 and was known as Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel University of Applied Sciences until 2009. The university has campuses in the cities of Wolfenbüttel, Salzgitter, Wolfsburg, and Suderburg.

The university offers programs through a total of 12 faculties, including the Faculties of Building-Water-Soil, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Healthcare, Commerce and Social Work, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Law, Social Work, Transport-Sports-Tourism-Media, Supply Engineering, and Business (WOB).

Distance Learning and Online Studies at Ostfalia

Ostfalia offers over 90 degree courses in the fields of Technology/Computer Science, Media, Design, Social Work and Healthcare, as well as Business and Law. The university now offers 8 online degree programs and numerous further education distance learning programs, primarily aimed at working professionals. The distance learning programs are organized through Ostfalia's An-Institute, the Training & Further Education Center Wolfenbüttel e.V.

Tuition Fees & Semester Contributions

As a state university, Ostfalia charges semester contributions that vary from location to location. At the Wolfenbüttel campus, the current semester contribution is €384.41. The contribution consists of an administrative fee, the contribution for the VRB semester ticket, the semester ticket of the German Railway, a student union fee, and a student services fee.

For students in online degree programs, the semester contributions are slightly lower because the fees for the VRB semester ticket and the DB semester ticket are waived. The semester contribution is approximately €194.

For online master's programs, study fees are applicable, such as for the distance learning program in Sales Management. The MBA with a General Management focus costs a total of €9,100, and the fees can be paid on a semester basis. In addition, the semester contribution applies.
