The European Higher Education Consortium (EHV) is a state-recognised institution for further education that offers both academic and non-academic programmes for working professionals. In close collaboration with various universities and institutes, the EHV develops distance learning concepts that enable participants to engage in flexible and practice-oriented further education.

The range of courses includes Bachelor's degree programmes such as Business (B.A.) with specialisations in Human Resource Management, Logistics, Health Management, or Controlling, as well as Business Informatics (B.Sc.). In addition, advanced training courses such as Business Management Specialist (IHK) and certificate courses in areas such as Mediation and Coaching are offered. The content of these programmes is designed to impart practical skills that are applicable in everyday professional life.

The EHV study concept combines guided self-study with regular (online) presence events. Approximately 75% of the study is dedicated to self-study phases, and 25% to presence seminars, which take place either locally in study centres or virtually in the EHV LiveCampus. Students benefit from weekly EHV live seminars as well as monthly online day seminars, allowing for flexible integration of learning into their professional lives.

All study materials are provided to participants at the beginning of the semester in a semester package. This package includes textbooks, exercise booklets, and, where applicable, legal texts. Specifically developed study books from the University of Applied Sciences South Westphalia are used in Bachelor's degree programmes. The study plans are designed to deliver content continuously and in small learning units, contributing to better knowledge absorption and long-term retention.

Through the digital EHV LiveCampus, students have access to all important information such as study materials, seminar recordings, and schedules. The online campus also serves as a communication platform for students to interact with teachers and fellow students.

The European Higher Education Consortium is certified according to the quality management standard DIN ISO 9001:2015, which highlights the high quality standards of its further education offerings. Additionally, the content quality of non-academic programmes is monitored by the Central Agency for Distance Learning (ZFU).

The EHV also supports universities in the development and implementation of distance learning offerings. The consortium undertakes tasks such as conception, organisation, accreditation, and marketing of programmes. Consultation ranges from financial matters to didactic design and implementation of distance learning programmes.

The EHV study centres are located in various German cities, including Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Munich, and Cologne. This regional presence enables participants, depending on the course of study and training, to attend on-site presence events.

Graduates of the European Higher Education Consortium's programmes open up new career perspectives. Popular further education programmes include the Specialist in Healthcare and Social Services, the Specialist in Retail Management, and the Business Management Specialist, all of which have a high rate of recommendation. The nationally standardised examinations for IHK qualifications take place in local IHK examination centres, while the examinations for Bachelor's degree programmes are conducted in the EHV study centres.
