Solution

Hi Fis, quick context first: fernstudi.net is a comparison portal/community. We don’t run our own “school”, but we can help you find a programme that fits your schedule and budget.

1) Programmes for IT Support / Marketing

In our database I can’t currently find English-taught distance programmes specifically labelled “IT Support” or “Marketing” via the course search. That doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t exist — it often comes down to how providers name the programme (e.g., “Business Informatics”, “Computer Science”, “Digital Marketing”, “Online Marketing”), except this 2 Semester Marketing Programme at IU: Marketing Management.

Two good starting points to browse (and then filter by language/degree/price):

If you’re open to German-taught programmes, your options become much bigger (especially at public/state universities, which are usually the cheapest).

2) How pricing typically works (and what “affordable” can mean)

  • Private universities: usually monthly instalments (often the most flexible for working people, sometimes with online exams).
  • Public/state universities: usually much lower fees, but often less flexible and sometimes with on-site exams.

For marketing degrees in Germany, our overview shows typical tuition starting at about €165/month, with total costs often roughly in the €7,900–€15,120 range depending on degree and provider (Bachelor/Master/MBA). (Source: our internal overview article.)

Helpful background reading (with cost ranges and how public vs private differs):

3) Will a Bachelor from a German distance university be accept ed in Luxembourg/Switzerland/Germany?

In general: if the programme is a state-recognised German university degree and the programme is properly accredited, it follows the Bologna system with ECTS and is typically recognised across the European Higher Education Area. That said, recognition in practice depends on the specific university/programme and what you want to do (employment vs. further study vs. regulated professions).

Because you asked about specific countries and acceptance, I’d want to check the exact programme you’re considering (provider name + degree title). Then we can look at accreditation/recognition info for that specific case.

Two quick questions so I can narrow it down for you:

  1. Do you need the programme to be 100% in English, or is German also OK?
  2. Are you aiming for a full Bachelor (3–4 years part-time) or a shorter certificate (to upskill fast for your shop/job)?

If you want, tell me your rough monthly budget (e.g., “max €150/month” or “max €250/month”) and I’ll suggest a realistic path and what to bookmark next.
