The Master's programme in Media Informatics (Online) at Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences is designed for students who want to develop complex multimedia systems, program sophisticated apps, or design educational software. The programme focuses on areas such as media design, multimedia technology, software engineering, and IT law. By providing the study modules through the internet platform of the Virtual University of Applied Sciences, a flexible part-time training programme is made possible.
Typical professional fields include planning, development, and implementation of multimedia systems, app development for smartphones, human-machine communication, representation of three-dimensional virtual worlds, as well as the integration of augmented realities. Other fields of activity include blended learning and project management.
The key study contents cover topics such as information architecture, user experience, probability theory and cryptography, coding of multimedia data, project and quality management, as well as entrepreneurship management.
