The part-time course Mechatronics Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) at the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences offers a comprehensive engineering education with a strong focus on the practical application of mechatronic systems. The aim of the programme is the intelligent networking of mechanics, electronics, and informatics for the development of modern, innovative products.

The course is designed for professionals who wish to obtain an internationally recognized engineering degree alongside their professional activities. It provides a balanced mix of self-study, project phases, virtual learning components, and presence phases (Blended Learning).

The study content includes fundamental and in-depth knowledge in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and information processing, as well as special mechatronic applications. The modular structure of the course includes, among other things, the following content:

The standard period of study is eight semesters. During the lecture period, there are two presence events in Kaiserslautern per semester, supplemented by approximately ten online events on Fridays and two Saturdays, as well as two one-week block events during the lecture-free period.
