The course is aimed at professionals who want to earn an academic degree in an engineering course of study alongside their profession.
Study Contents
The Mechanical Engineering distance learning programme at HTW Berlin enables students to design, operate, and optimize modern machines and systems.
Subjects covered include:
- Mathematical and scientific fundamentals: Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science,
- Design and Manufacturing: CAD, Design, Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, Joining Technology and Assembly, Product Development,
- Technical Mechanics,
- Mechatronics,
- Thermo and Fluid Dynamics,
- Quality Engineering.
In addition, there are elective subjects, some of which are taught in English, and general scientific supplementary subjects.
Study Process
The study is carried out through distance learning and self-study, supplemented by attendance phases. A 16-week internship is completed in the 7th and 8th semesters.
