The Bachelor's degree programme in Mechanical Engineering at HFH provides a solid engineering knowledge and prepares students for a variety of tasks in production, product management, as well as research and development. The programme offers more flexible semester and credit options (180/210 ECTS) and can be completed in 6, 7, 8 or 9 semesters, with the longer option including a main internship.

The general fundamentals include modules such as:

Foundations of Information Technology Programming 1 Mathematics 1-3 Scientific Working Methods Physics for Engineering.

The engineering fundamentals cover subjects like Technical Mechanics, Materials Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Electrical Engineering/Electronics. The economic competencies include modules such as Business Administration, Project Management, and Material and Production Economics.

In the mechanical engineering area, there are advanced modules in Technical Thermodynamics, Drive and Fluid Technology, as well as Construction and Machine Elements. The focus area allows for specialization in Construction and Development, Production Technology, Robotics, Human-Machine Interaction, and Smart Products & Services.
