The Master's distance learning programme in Logistics (M.Sc.) at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen is specifically tailored to the needs of working professionals. The programme is condensed into four semesters and provides a solid education in both theoretical and practical aspects of logistics. Students can choose between two specialisations: External Logistics and Internal Logistics. Professionals benefit from a high level of flexibility as the programme is largely completed through self-study with the support of practice-oriented study materials. Face-to-face sessions, held both on-site in Friedberg and digitally, complement the theoretical education.
The first semester covers basics such as Business Administration, Law, Finance and Accounting, as well as Soft Skills. The second semester includes specialised modules on parts management, logistics planning and control, and the planning and management of logistics processes. In the third semester, students select their specialisation. The fourth semester is dedicated to the completion of the Master's thesis.
This programme is accredited until 2028 and awards the academic degree Master of Science. The programme comprises a total of 120 ECTS points. The specialisations provide specialised knowledge for a career in the logistics industry. The acquired subject and methodological competences are complemented by interface competences to optimally prepare students for leadership positions.
