These are the admission requirements for the Bachelor's in Cyber Security
In the Bachelor's distance learning programme in Cyber Security at IU International University (IU), you can enrol if you provide us with your high school diploma (Abitur), your technical college entrance qualification (Fachabitur), or a subject-specific entrance qualification.
Alternatively, you can also enrol without a high school diploma. Enrolment in the IU degree programme without a high school diploma is possible under the following conditions:
- You have successfully completed an advanced training qualification, for example, training to become a State-certified Business Administrator.
- Or you have completed a vocational training, for example, training as a office clerk. Following your training, you have worked full-time in this profession for at least 3 years. If your training is not thematically related to the Cyber Security distance learning programme, you will first complete a trial study before being regularly enrolled.
If you choose the English-language version, you must also provide evidence of your English language skills. You can demonstrate your English language skills, for example, through a TOEFL (minimum score of 80), IELTS (minimum Level 6), a successful Duolingo English Test (minimum of 105 points), a Cambridge certificate (minimum grade of B), or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, you can complete an English course free of charge directly at IU International University.

Study Concept: How the Part-Time Study in Cyber Security Works at IU
In the online Cyber Security programme at IU International University, you can adapt your studies to your life and daily routine, choosing the best fit for you. For example, you can opt for one of 3 study models: In the full-time programme, it takes a total of 6 semesters, i.e., 36 months, to complete your bachelor's degree. In part-time study I, you study for 8 semesters until completion. Or you can choose part-time study II and take up to 12 semesters to complete your bachelor's degree.
With each module registration, you receive study materials from IU in the form of printed study booklets. All materials are also available digitally. The IU Interactive Books are innovative learning scripts enriched with video clips and quiz questions at the end of each lesson. Depending on the module, study materials are supplemented with podcasts, live tutorials, and video content in the form of so-called Shortcasts. You can access the IU Interactive Books via the convenient IU Learn app.
Many modules also offer virtual lectures that allow you to interactively engage with your peers and lecturers.
A particularly practical and flexible feature is the option to take module exams in the form of online exams. You can take an online exam 7 days a week, 24 hours a day - whenever you feel optimally prepared, for example, for an exam in construction. Moreover, we operate about 40 exam centres in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland where you can also take your exams in the traditional way.
