These are the admission requirements for the Master's program Information Technology Management
We offer the Master's program Information Technology Management in 2 versions: the shortened 60-ECTS version takes 2 semesters in full-time study. The 120 ECTS version takes 4 semesters in full-time study.
For the 120-ECTS version in 4 semesters, the following requirements apply:
- You have an first degree with a focus on economics or business administration and a minimum final grade of "satisfactory".
- If your degree has a different focus, you can be admitted via a master's qualification examination
For the shortened 60-ECTS version, the following requirements apply:
- You have a first degree with a minimum final grade of "satisfactory".
- If your first degree comprises 180 ECTS, you complete courses totaling 30 ECTS afterwards and demonstrate at least 1 year of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, you demonstrate at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- If your degree comprises 210 ECTS, you demonstrate at least 1 year of qualified work experience. You have gained work experience following your studies.
- If your degree comprises 240 ECTS, as is the case with many diploma degrees, you additionally demonstrate 1 year of qualified work experience along with the degree.
In addition, you must demonstrate your English language skills. English language skills can be proven, for example, through a TOEFL (at least 80 points), IELTS (at least Level 6), a successful Duolingo English test (at least 105 points), a Cambridge Certificate (at least grade B overall), or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, you can complete an English course free of charge directly at IU International University.

Study Concept: How the part-time study of Information Technology Management functions at IU
The online study program in Information Technology Management at IU International University adapts flexibly to your life and daily routine, as it best suits you. For example, you can choose from 3 study models: In the full-time study, you will need a total of 2 semesters or 4 semesters, depending on the study variant, to complete your master's degree. In part-time study I, you will study for 3 or 6 semesters until completion. Or you opt for part-time study II and take 4 or 8 semesters to complete your master's.
You will receive study materials from IU in printed study booklets with each module registration. All materials are also available to you digitally. Furthermore, many modules offer virtual lectures, allowing you to interact interactively with your fellow students and lecturers.

You can write an online exam 7 days a week, 24/7 - whenever you feel best prepared for the exam, for example in architectural design. Additionally, we operate around 40 exam centres in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, where you can also take your exams in the classic way on-site.
