Admission requirements
Prerequisite for enrollment in the study program is a successfully completed university degree in
- Business Informatics
- Computer Science
- Business Administration with a focus on Business Informatics
- Business Administration and successful completion of Propaedeutics B according to the study and examination regulations
- Industrial Engineering and successful completion of Propaedeutics B according to the study and examination regulations
Foreign students interested in studying need to provide proof of German language proficiency. There are several ways to provide this proof, such as
- DSH-2 (German Language Examination for University Entrance)
- C1 according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
- TestDaF level 4 (Test German as a Foreign Language)
- a school leaving qualification equivalent to a German university entrance qualification.
Recommended knowledge:
- Solid mathematics skills at the university entrance qualification level
- Thorough knowledge of academic work, especially in terms of independently drafting academic papers
- Solid knowledge of Business Informatics as well as PC and internet applications
- English language skills at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Within the framework of Propaedeutics A, missing recommended prerequisites can be acquired during the course of study.

In this Master's programme in Business Informatics, you combine knowledge from economics with information technology to prepare for the dynamic and increasingly digitized work environment. You combine business expertise with technological skills, thereby gaining a holistic view of how to use information technology to optimize business processes and improve corporate performance.
You learn to apply your acquired management and IT skills, combined and results-oriented, in the development of complex IT strategies. In your role as a leader, you qualify for tasks in IT-supported customer management, sales of complex systems and services, development & strategy planning of IT architecture, project management, and business consulting through the distance learning programme in Business Informatics, among others.
