    • Certificates from vocational colleges and Waldorf school diplomas are accepted under reservation and with possibly additional evidence – this requires an examination by the responsible authority.
    • International school certificates (e.g. IB Diploma or foreign certificates) are recognised as entry requirements after equivalence assessment (according to the Anabin database of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs).
  • Studying Without A-levels – With Professional Qualification:
    • Evidence of a master craftsman's certificate or
    • successful advanced training (e.g. IHK business specialists)
    • or: At least two-year recognised vocational training in Germany plus at least three years of full-time work experience
    • Applicants with a comparable EU education: Recognition after assessment at the German DQR level 4
    • In certain cases, a trial study or additional evidence of academic aptitude may be required.
  • English Language Proficiency Evidence:
    • TOEFL (minimum 80 points)
    • IELTS (minimum 6.0 points)
    • Duolingo English Test (minimum 95 points)
    • Cambridge Certificate (Grade B or higher)
    • Alternatively, completion of a prior degree programme in English or being a native English speaker is accepted.
    • Evidence must be provided before the start of studies and cannot be older than 5 years. Other B2 (CEFR) English language certificates may be accepted after individual assessment.

There is no numerus clausus (NC) for the Cloud Computing distance learning course at IU.
