The Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science at the European Distance Learning University in Hamburg is a part-time study programme lasting 36 months in Hamburg. This programme is the third undergraduate computer science programme at the Euro-FH and focuses on the application of IT skills in the business and economic context.

Students acquire a broad knowledge of computer science with a focus on practical application in business and industry. In addition to IT-related basics such as Linear Algebra, Analysis, Information Technology, Operating Systems, Algorithms and Data Structures, Databases, Computer Networks, and Software Engineering, the curriculum also includes practical modules such as Web Technologies and Cloud Computing, Introduction to IT Security, and Design of Digital Transformation.

Students have the opportunity to choose a specialisation from 16 elective modules and complete five to six modules. Potential fields of employment for graduates include IT administration, application support, IT architecture, software and application development, as well as in the field of IT project management or entrepreneurship.

The accreditation of this study programme by the Accreditation Council aims to enable students to acquire qualified employability and personal development. The curriculum is based on the guidelines of the Society for Computer Science and combines basic principles with a wide range of application areas to create an individual profile and prepare students for various professional requirements.
