In the distance learning course Computer Science (B.Sc.) at AKAD University, you will acquire fundamental and application-oriented knowledge from all areas of computer science. You begin with basic knowledge of business administration and systematically learn mathematics, including linear algebra as well as analysis and numerics. This is followed by technical fundamentals such as digital technology and computer architecture, as well as confident handling of various programming paradigms and current programming languages (including Python, Java, C/C++).

The AKAD course is fully online and individually adaptable to your life situation. You choose between three time models: Sprint (36 months), Standard (48 months) or Stretch (72 months). You can start at any time; there are no fixed semester dates. Your study progress, the order of the modules and your learning pace are flexibly planned and you can make use of free extension semesters.
All modules are completed via the digital AKAD Campus. Learning materials are available as digital scripts, teaching videos, podcasts as well as interactive web trainings. The Campus also offers live webinars, forums and tools for study organisation. Exams are taken remotely as online exams, written assignments or project work. For a few modules with laboratory components, a short attendance workshop takes place. Each student receives individual support – academically from lecturers and organisationally from the student advisory team.
Particularly practical: in project phases, you independently work on tasks from real IT practice, develop software solutions and create your bachelor’s thesis as a final project. Exchange with other students takes place via virtual study groups and online communities.

Total costs, depending on the chosen option, range between approximately €7,308 (Sprint with discount) and €14,616 (Stretch). In addition, a one-time examination fee of €960 is charged, which is sometimes waived in current discount promotions. The price includes all learning materials, support, access to the digital campus and online events. A regular 4-week trial period allows you to start free of charge.
