Admission requirements
For this four-semester version of the Master of Science Electrical Engineering program, a first degree in Electrical Engineering with 210 ECTS credits is required. In addition, graduates of a non-dual bachelor's program must also have nine months of relevant work experience, while graduates of a dual bachelor's program must have three months of work experience.

The postgraduate Master's programme in Electrical Engineering at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is aimed at female and male engineers who want to deepen their already acquired knowledge and further qualify themselves while working. The target group includes especially professionals from the metal, automotive, and electrical industries. The versatile programme combines practice-oriented technical skills in core areas of electrical engineering with interdisciplinary content.
The study programme consists of four main phases: At the beginning, students acquire fundamental interdisciplinary skills, including business communication. The second section includes specialisations in future-oriented disciplines such as automation technology, microelectronics, energy technology, and medical technology. The third section focuses on project development as well as individual specialisations. In the final semester, students write their master's thesis.

Graduates of the programme have excellent career opportunities and can take on responsible leadership roles in the industry. The acquired Master of Science degree also provides the option for a doctorate.
