You can be admitted to the Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Information Engineering distance learning programme at AKAD University if you meet at least one of the following formal requirements:
- General university entrance qualification (Abitur)
- Subject-specific university entrance qualification or advanced technical college entrance qualification
- An equivalent, recognised foreign university entrance qualification
- Recognised vocational advancement training, for example as a state-certified technician, master craftsman, business economist, specialist or educator

How is the programme structured and organised?
The distance learning programme is designed for a standard duration of 42 to 72 months and comprises 210 ECTS credits. There are three time models to choose from: Sprint (42 months), Standard (54 months) or Stretch (72 months), allowing you to adapt your learning pace to your current life situation. You can start your studies at any time – independently of semesters.
All study materials are available to you digitally via the online campus. These include interactive scripts, video lectures and self-tests. Most examinations can be taken flexibly online, including open-book exams, term papers and laboratory reports. Laboratory phases for some technical modules are held in a concentrated manner on a few presence days.
You have the option to choose the sequence and pace of many modules individually. A free extension of studies of up to twelve months is possible per model. From the sixth semester onwards, practical and project work is added to the individual specialisations and laboratory phases. The programme concludes with a Bachelor's thesis and a colloquium.
Support is provided digitally, but personally: knowledgeable tutors and lecturers are quickly reachable via the campus. You can use virtual study groups and regularly participate in live webinars. Exchange and community building are additionally available via AKAD Plus and forums.

The total costs amount – depending on the model – to around 14,238 Euro. The fees include all learning materials, access to the online campus and support. In addition, a one-off examination fee of 960 Euro applies (this may be waived during current promotional offers).
