yes, FOM offers payment and financing support, but you should separate three things: regular instalment payment, scholarships/funding, and individual support in case of financial difficulty.

For the M.Sc. AI & Business Analytics at FOM, the regular payment model is already instalment-based: according to FOM, the tuition is currently 465 € per month for 30 months. In addition, there is a 1,590 € enrolment fee, paid in 6 monthly instalments of 265 € during the first semester, plus a 500 € examination fee at the end of the programme. The official total is currently 16,040 €.

Important note: according to our course data, this programme is taught in German, even though you are viewing the English course page. As an international applicant, you should therefore also ask FOM which German-language proof is required.

For funding, FOM does not appear to offer a guaranteed “international student scholarship” specifically for this MSc. The more realistic options are:

• employer funding, especially since you already work in IT

• individual payment arrangements in special financial situations

• Deutsche Bildung study financing

• KfW student loan, depending on eligibility

• SBB scholarships, mainly relevant for applicants with a German vocational training background

• tax deduction, if you are employed and taxable in Germany

So the direct answer is: yes, instalment payment is the standard model at FOM; internal emergency/payment support may be possible; but a specific scholarship for international students is not something I would assume without written confirmation from FOM.

For non-EU international students, funding options usually depend on a couple of things such as your country of origin, residence status, place of work, study mode and academic profile.

Good starting points:

1. Employer funding
   Since you already work full-time in data analytics, this may be the most realistic route. Ask your employer about tuition reimbursement, learning budgets, paid study time or a retention agreement. FOM itself points out that many employers support part-time students financially.

2. FOM financing options
   These are not scholarships, but still relevant: FOM lists payment arrangements in financial hardship, temporary suspension of tuition fees, study loans or education funds, SBB scholarships for people with a German vocational training background. Individual installment or payment plans, as well as potential tuition fee reductions, could serve as a lever for cost adjustment.

3. DAAD scholarship database
   This is the best first stop for international students. Filter by your country of origin, degree level “Master” and Germany. Check carefully whether a scholarship covers a part-time programme at a private, state-recognised university and whether tuition fees are included. For example, the DAAD master scholarship can support a full master’s degree in Germany, but it normally does not cover tuition fees.

4. German foundations and scholarship organisations
   Also check political, social, religious and academic foundations. Some are open to international students, but requirements are usually strict: strong grades, social or political engagement, a clear study plan and sometimes residence in Germany. The DAAD database and platforms such as mystipendium.de can help you find these.

5. Deutschlandstipendium / university-administered scholarships
   Ask FOM whether students in this MSc can apply for any university-administered scholarships, for example the Deutschlandstipendium or similar internal calls. This would not be “for non-EU students only”, but international students may be eligible depending on the university’s rules and current calls.

6. Tax deduction in Germany: If you are employed and taxable in Germany, study costs for a part-time degree can often be tax-deductible. This is not a scholarship, but it can reduce the real cost.

the M.Sc. AI & Business Analytics starts in March (summer semester) or September (winter semester).

You can study it either as Campus+ on site (currently Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Munich or Stuttgart) or as Digital Live, meaning live online lectures from the FOM studios. The programme is taught in German.

General entry requirements: a first university degree, ideally with at least 40 ECTS in (business) informatics for direct admission. With a degree in another field, relevant IT work experience can also count toward admission. Current employment is required as well. Not stated here, but you might need to provide proof of German language proficiency.

Since you’re already working in IT, it should fit well if you're comfortable with German as language of instruction — but FOM would need to check your exact degree, credits and work experience for binding admission.
