Admission requirements

In order to enroll directly in the degree programme, you need the general higher education entrance qualification, a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, or the university of applied sciences entrance qualification.

If you do not have a high school diploma or technical college entrance qualification, recognized further education and technical college qualifications (e.g. technician, master craftsman, business administrator, business specialist, educator) combined with a consultation entitle you to study.

If you cannot provide evidence of further education or technical college qualification but have completed vocational training and have professional experience, you can start your studies after successfully passing the university aptitude test.

For foreign students interested in studying, the university requires proof of German language proficiency. There are several ways to provide proof, such as

  • DSH-2 (German language examination for university entrance)
  • C1 according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
  • TestDaF level 4 (Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache - German as a Foreign Language)
  • a school leaving certificate that is equivalent to a German university entrance qualification.

Recommended skills include English at the ALTE3 or B2 level according to CEFR, mathematics skills at the level of university entrance qualification, and basic PC user skills.
