The consecutive, part-time master's degree program in Business Informatics is aimed at professionals who aspire to leadership and higher management roles in the IT sector or in fields heavily influenced by IT. The program is jointly conducted by the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund and the Technical University of Cologne, and includes lectures in Dortmund and Gummersbach.

The curriculum includes modules on management-oriented topics such as IT controlling, IT management, and IT consulting. In addition, basic knowledge from the bachelor's program is deepened through specialized modules such as Requirements Engineering for digital solutions and IT security. Interdisciplinary key qualifications such as self, social, and methodological competencies are systematically developed. Specialization opportunities are offered through elective modules such as E-Business and applications of AI in Business Informatics.

The teaching methods include a combination of face-to-face lectures, self-study, and training on the job.
