For the B.Eng. Industrial Engineering Production at Wilhelm Bücher University, there are various access options:
Access option No. 1: You have the general university entrance qualification (Abitur), the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or the subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification.
Access option No. 2: You have an educational qualification for admission to higher education recognized as equivalent by the Hessian Ministry of Culture (e.g. a master's degree or a diploma as a state-certified technician).
Access option No. 3: Studying as a guest auditor: You start your guest studies at our university without the three mentioned accesses and after 2 semesters of study, you take the university entrance examination (HZP). To do this, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- You have completed at least a two-year vocational training in a field related to the desired course of study according to the Vocational Training Act, the Crafts Code, regulated by federal or state law.
- You have subsequently worked for at least two years full-time in a field related to the desired course of study.
If you aim to study a subject that is not related to the completed training or professional activity, the knowledge acquired through training and professional activity must be expanded or deepened through qualified further education with a scope of at least 400 hours in a field related to the desired course of study.
After successfully passing the university entrance examination (HZP), we will change your status from guest auditor to regular student.

Your Bachelor's degree programme in Industrial Engineering Production at the WBH is structurally modular. You will study thematically closed subject areas (modules) to which credit points are assigned according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The number of credit points allocated to each module depends on the scope of the module and the associated workload. All credit points you achieve will be credited to you and you will receive confirmation of this. Your achievements are thus comparable and recognized internationally.

- 4th Semester: Scientific Work and Communication, Organization and Project Management, Introduction to Electrical Engineering and Electronics, Basics of Computer Science with Lab (Part 2), Work Structures and Processes
- 5th Semester: Intercultural Competence and International Management (Part 1), Accounting and Finance, Metrology, Maintenance Management in Production, Seminar
- 6th Semester: Intercultural Competence and International Management (Part 2), Marketing and Technical Sales, Machine Elements with CAD Lab, Project Work
