Course Content: What does the Master's in Sustainable Architecture and Technology convey?
The advanced Master's programme "Sustainable Architecture and Technology" at the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University Kaiserslautern-Landau imparts basic knowledge and specialist expertise at the interfaces of architecture and Technical Building Equipment (TGA). The focus is on sustainable aspects of the planning, dimensioning, and use of buildings as well as their technical systems.
- Sustainable energy and supply concepts
- Circular effective construction including design and building construction
- Dimensioning and planning of technical systems (TGA)
- Ecological and economic evaluation of building and energy concepts
- Simple building simulations and life cycle assessment of building materials
- Renovation, modernization, and energy assessment of existing buildings
- Risk assessment, existing building protection, inventory analysis
The programme emphasizes interdisciplinary exchange. The curriculum enables the targeted expansion of existing knowledge in the field of architecture or building services engineering, in order to be able to advise and plan in both disciplines in a well-founded manner.
Course Structure: How is the Master's distance learning programme organized?
