Required are:

a bachelor's degree or higher qualification (e.g. Dipl.-Ing. (FH)) at least one year of professional experience

For those from a different field, there is the option to take a preparatory course. The examination board determines a preparatory course for them, which can also be completed via distance learning.

For individuals without professional experience, there is the opportunity to start with the certificate programme on a part-time basis and once one year of work experience has been gained, to switch to the master's programme. Courses already taken will be recognized.
