Admission requirements
To be admitted to the Master's program in Business Law, you need a university degree with at least 40 credit points in legal studies or a degree in any other discipline and one and a half years of professional experience related to the Master's program. In the latter case, participation in a legal bridging course is recommended.
Applicants should be employed at the time of application. Exceptions can be made in individual cases.

The Master's programme in Business Law (LL.M.) at FOM University is designed for professionals who want to expand their legal expertise while acquiring knowledge in business administration. The programme is specifically tailored for those who aim to design business processes in companies in a legally secure manner.
The course structure is tailored to the professional needs of the students: It is available as a part-time Campus Study+ programme or as a Digital Live Study programme. Teaching content is conveyed in a practical manner, with a strong emphasis on direct theory-practice transfer.
Students deepen their knowledge in relevant legal disciplines such as corporate and company law, and explore modern topics such as compliance, legal tech, and artificial intelligence. The programme also provides insights into conflict management and mergers & acquisitions, supported by lectures from industry experts.
1st Semester: Methodology & Case Studies, Change & Innovation, Corporate and Group Law, Conflict Management
2nd Semester: Labor Law in Practice, Sustainability, Compliance
3rd Semester: M&A Basics, Contract Drafting, Internet and Data Protection Law, Research Forum, Transfer Assessment: Coaching and Transfer Report 1
4th Semester: Managerial and Organizational Liability, IP, AI & Legal Tech, Exposé for the Master's Thesis, Transfer Assessment: Transfer Report 2 and Competency Check 2
Thesis: Master's Thesis and Colloquium, Transfer Assessment: Theory-Practice Reflection Examination
With the internationally recognised Master of Laws degree, graduates are qualified for challenging roles in the field of business law, such as the practical application and implementation of legal regulations or the facilitation of M&A transactions, and also gain eligibility for PhD studies.
