The part-time Master's programme in Criminology and Crime Prevention at the Berlin School of Economics and Law offers comprehensive further education in the field of crime prevention, combining science and practice.
The target groups are practitioners in crime prevention such as employees in prevention committees, the police, municipal administrations, social work, or criminal policy. The programme provides scientific and practical skills, preparing students for leadership roles. Crime prevention is considered an interdisciplinary science, encompassing content from sociology, psychology, and law.
The programme consists of a total of 8 core modules and 3 elective modules, all concluding with examinations. In the fourth semester, students write a master's thesis. The blended learning format enables flexible and self-directed learning with regular online and on-site events. Students also benefit from the expertise of a strong network of research partners and cooperation partners.
