Details
The completion of the degree program in Law with the aim of the "First State Examination" (EJP) is the first step towards acquiring the qualification for the judiciary according to § 1 sentence 1 JAG NRW. The EJP consists of a university part (§ 28 JAG NRW) and a state part (§ 3 ff. JAG NRW). The judicial examination offices at the Higher Regional Courts in Cologne, Dusseldorf, and Hamm are responsible for organizing and conducting the state compulsory subject examination.
A voluntary combination with the degree program "Bachelor of Laws" is possible.
