Admission requirements
The access to the further education Master's programme "Business Law for Corporate Practice" at Saarland University is possible both with and without a first university degree. Applicants with a first university degree must have successfully completed a university degree, but not necessarily the first legal examination. Evidence of at least one year of relevant (i.e. legal) professional experience after the first university degree is required. Applicants without a first university degree must demonstrate university admission eligibility in accordance with § 77 (2) SHSG as well as at least three years of relevant legal professional experience. In the case of applicants without a first university degree, passing an aptitude test is necessary. The degree programme has open admission, no NC, and only starts in the winter semester. The Master of Laws in "Business Law for Corporate Practice" at the University of Saarland in Saarbrücken is a part-time distance learning programme that can be completed in four semesters. The programme provides knowledge and skills in business law at a scientific level, enabling graduates to better understand operational processes and develop legal solutions.
The learning objectives include developing the ability to understand and implement legal thinking to work out comprehensive solutions. Knowledge in various legal areas is imparted, including national and international contract law, credit and security law, internet law, labour law, corporate law, and tax law.
The programme is modular in structure and comprises a total of 60 credits with a workload of 1,800 hours. It includes face-to-face sessions at the end of each semester, with a total of four face-to-face sessions. Admission requirements include a completed university degree in economics or social sciences or business engineering and at least one year of professional experience.
The programme is supported by 17 professors and lecturers, and the teaching content is delivered through study materials that enable independent learning.
