A completed university or college degree with at least 240 credit points in the field of criminology, criminalistics, and\/or police science.

The target group of this course are individuals with a completed university or college degree, for example, lawyers, social scientists, psychologists, psychiatrists, police officers, social workers, legal officers, educators, and other disciplines with at least one year of practical experience. Graduates can work in areas such as public administration, social services, judiciary, police, penal system, as well as in the training and further education sector.
The course starts annually on 1st January and lasts for four semesters, divided into three teaching semesters and one examination semester. The objective of the course is to impart comprehensive knowledge and skills in the mentioned areas and prepare students for leadership positions in criminology, criminalistics, and police agencies.
During the teaching phases, study contents are conveyed through seminars and online teaching via the Moodle system. Examination forms include presence and online exams, scientific essays, as well as research reports. The course is designed for part-time study, allowing students to learn flexibly and participate in the presence phases, which mostly take place on weekends. In total, there are 75 places available per year. The course concludes with the internationally recognized degree 'Master of Criminology, Criminalistics and Police Science', which also enables further academic research.
