The course qualifies you for a sports therapy role in inpatient and outpatient medical rehabilitation, enabling you to provide billable services in all areas of prevention.
With this course, you will be able to develop and implement measures for health promotion and maintenance of people as well as complex biopsychosocial (body and mind as a unit) interventions with outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation patients. You will acquire the necessary skills in training, health, and natural sciences, making you qualified for the entire care chain in the field of sports and exercise.
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to work as a sports and exercise therapist in complex therapy. At the same time, you will be able to conduct billable exercise programs in primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. In the context of health promotion, you will have the necessary skills to convey health-related knowledge and to instruct in the practical implementation of health sports activities.
The qualification is suitable for the consecutive master's programme "Sports and Exercise Therapy" at DHfPG (under accreditation).
