Details
The Physiotherapy degree programme leading to a Bachelor of Science is aimed at trained physiotherapists who complete the programme as a five-semester advanced study programme. Those who are still in vocational physiotherapy training and have the university entrance qualification according to Hessian law can complete the programme over eight semesters alongside their training.
The Bachelor's degree programme in "Physiotherapy" (B.Sc.) as a (online) distance learning course aims to impart additional professional skills that meet both the scientific standards and the practical requirements of the professional field. The distance learning programme is designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge to understand the scientific foundations of the relevant disciplines and to be able to apply and reflect on the tools of physiotherapy in a case-based and methodical manner. You will also learn to reflect on your actions and plan future therapy-related steps. Furthermore, you will be able to incorporate legal requirements, business management needs, and client-specific requirements into your therapeutic practice.
During your studies, you can also choose your personal, professionally oriented focus to further deepen your skills.
The study focuses in the Physiotherapy Bachelor's programme are:
• Business Management and Administration
• Health Education
• Manual Therapy
• Sports Physiotherapy
Course Structure
At the DIPLOMA University, you have the opportunity to study the Physiotherapy Bachelor's programme as an online course or as a distance learning programme on site.
The (online) distance learning programme at DIPLOMA University is designed according to the "Blended Learning" principle. This means that you work on the study contents with the help of study booklets and attend seminars. These seminars usually take place on 12 to 14 Saturdays per semester – occasionally also on weekday evenings. In the online course, these seminars are conducted as live online seminars. You can also take your exams online or at an exam centre of your choice. In the distance learning programme on site, you attend real presence seminars and exams at your chosen study centre – in Hannover or Leipzig.
Please note: This distance learning programme is an ideal academic further qualification for all physiotherapy students in vocational training (8 semesters alongside training). However, it also offers a good further qualification for physiotherapists who are already working (5-semester advanced study programme).
