Admission requirements

For the degree programme Therapy and Nursing Sciences for experienced professionals leading to a Bachelor of Science qualification at HFH, you can be admitted if you:

possess a state recognition as an occupational therapist, speech therapist, physiotherapist, or nurse; can demonstrate at least 10 months of professional experience in the corresponding healthcare profession; and submit a written statement of interest in the programme (letter of motivation).

Details

The Health Care Studies degree programme for experienced professionals is structurally a shortened form of the dual, training-accompanying Health Care Studies programme. It is aimed at experienced professionals in occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, and nursing with a minimum of ten months of professional experience. By crediting parts of the vocational school training, you can obtain the academic degree Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) on a part-time basis.

The programme starts with the 3rd semester. You will study the first two semesters, i.e. your 3rd and 4th semester, in special study groups of the programme for experienced professionals. From the 5th semester onwards, you and the participants of the dual Health Care Studies programme for trainees will study together, as the course structure is now the same for everyone.

Within your first two semesters, you will complete the modules from four semesters (1st - 4th semester) of the dual, training-accompanying degree programme. For this purpose, you will find on our website specially designed study plans for your chosen specialisations.

Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Speech Therapy, and Physiotherapy.

Applications can be submitted by 15th July each year. The course starts on 1st September annually.

Costs:
290,- pounds per month,
plus 490,- pounds Bachelor examination fee

Total costs: 10,930,- pounds

This includes a fee-free extension period of up to 18 months beyond the standard duration of studies.
